MMarinus Link has created the Sponsorship Program to aid organisations, events and activities through the provision of financial support.
Who can apply?
The Sponsorship Program is open for registered, not-for-profit organisations, in the project area along the project alignment in Victoria and in North West Tasmania.
How to apply
Completed applications should be emailed to team@marinuslink.com.au and include ‘SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION’ in the email subject line.
Important Sponsorship Program Information
- Organisations are eligible to reapply for sponsorship grants, but no more than one per year.
- Organisations may apply for a sponsorship after receiving a community grant.
- Due to the competitive nature of Sponsorship applications, Marinus Link may prioritise new recipients over previously awarded applicants.
- Applications through the Sponsorship Program will be received and assessed by the Marinus Link Team.
- Marinus Link reserves the right to refuse or consider an application if Marinus Link, in its sole discretion, considers that the applicant does not meet the criteria for sponsorships.
- We carefully assess each request against our criteria, which is completed after the application period has closed.
- If we need more detail about your proposal, we’ll contact you using the information you provide.
- Marinus Link may assess Sponsorship applications outside of funding rounds at its discretion and on a case-by-case basis.
- Successful applicants will be required to enter into a formal sponsorship agreement with Marinus Link. The sponsorship funding is subject to the applicant entering into the sponsorship agreement.
We consider sponsorship proposals that:
- Are received from not-for-profit organisations;
- Are located in the following locations:
- Victoria – Buffalo, Churchill, Dumbalk, Driffield, Fish Creek, Hazelwood, Meeniyan, Mirboo North, Sandy Point and Waratah Bay, and other areas as considered by Marinus Link within Latrobe City and South Gippsland Shire local government areas;
- North West Tasmania – Chasm Creek and Heybridge, and other areas as considered by Marinus Link within Burnie City and Central Coast local government areas.
- Are up to $2500 in value;
- Support organisations, events and activities;
- Encourage the positive promotion of Marinus Link;
- Align with Marinus Link’s Sustainability Framework.
We will not consider:
- Community Grant applications (see Marinus Link Community Grants Program);
- Applications from purely commercial organisations;
- Applications above $2500;
- Applications from outside the specified locations;
- Commercial projects, enterprises or individuals;
- More than one application within the same year from the same organisation across Marinus Link’s Community Grants and Sponsorship programs;
- Applications from overtly political or religious organisations.
Marinus Link reserves the right to refuse any application at its sole discretion. Marinus Link’s decision to award, or not to award, a sponsorship under this program is final.
