Environment and Sustainability Policy 

Marinus Link Pty Ltd’s (MLPL) Environment and Sustainability Policy outlines our goals for managing environmental impacts and ensuring sustainability is embedded across every stage of the project lifecycle. It reflects our commitment to innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement. 

The Policy also guides the development of MLPL’s Environmental Management System (EMS). Through the EMS, we integrate sustainability into project delivery by: 

  • Managing compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Tracking and reporting performance against our commitments. 
  • Embedding sustainability principles into daily practice across design, construction, and operation. 

This ensures that sustainability is not only a guiding principle but also a practical system that drives accountability and measurable outcomes. 

Marinus Link’s Environment and Sustainability Policy 

Sustainability Framework 

MLPL’s Sustainability Framework provides the roadmap for achieving long-term value and guiding our sustainability commitments as detailed in our Environment and Sustainability Policy. It establishes clear objectives, priorities, and focus areas aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring a best-practice approach to sustainable development. 

Developed through a materiality assessment and extensive stakeholder engagement, the Framework identifies three core objectives: 

  1. Healthy Planet 
  2. Community Prosperity 
  3. Trusted Organisation 

These objectives are supported by nine priorities and implemented through targets, actions and governance mechanisms to guide decision-making and delivery across all project phases.

Shared approach to delivery

MLPL provides the governance, direction and accountability for sustainability across the project, while contractors are responsible for integrating sustainability into day-to-day project delivery.

By embedding sustainability considerations into decisions from design and procurement through to construction and commissioning, both MLPL and contractors contribute to achieving the project’s sustainability commitments and creating long-term value.

Infrastructure Sustainability Rating

MLPL has committed to achieving a ‘Silver’ Design and As Built Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating for the Balance of Works scope being delivered by TasVic Greenlink (TVGL). The IS Rating provides a recognised and comprehensive framework for measuring and independently verifying economic, environmental, social, and governance outcomes across infrastructure projects. The IS Rating demonstrates MLPL’s alignment with best-practice sustainability standards and supports its goal of building social licence and community trust.
